About the position

The Claims Intern position at Erie Insurance offers college students the opportunity to gain professional experience in the insurance industry through the Future Focus Internship Program. Interns will work under close supervision, performing functional duties and special projects within the Claims Department at the Raleigh Branch Office. This internship emphasizes personal and professional development, providing various educational, social, and networking opportunities, including interactions with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Performs various tasks related to the achievement of division objectives.
• Conducts research and gathers information to assist in creating presentations as required.
• Analyzes data and reports findings.
• Verifies and enters data into appropriate systems, updating electronic files as necessary.
• Provides clerical and administrative support as needed.
• Completes special projects as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree with completion of sophomore year in a relevant field required.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software preferred.
