As a Claims Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing the scope and extent of coverage of primary policies with deductibles. You will engage in clear and concise written and verbal communication with insureds, third-party administrators (TPAs), brokers, and underwriters. Regular and appropriate contact with internal and external customers, including leading national Fortune 500 companies, will be a key part of your role. You will provide guidance to insureds and/or brokers to manage expectations effectively. Your role will also involve strategizing and budgeting the litigation of each claim through discussions with counsel, vendors, and insureds. Establishing clear ground rules with defense and coverage counsel will be essential to maintain financial control of budget and expenses. You will maintain and manage a diary system to efficiently handle and resolve your assigned claim inventory. Additionally, you will independently negotiate high exposure claims with top plaintiff attorneys nationwide, including attending mediations and trials as necessary. Completing all required file and management reports, participating in roundtables, and performing necessary reconciliation reports with the TPA will also be part of your responsibilities. Property and casualty licenses are required and must be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance to insureds and/or brokers to manage expectations.
  • Strategizing and budgeting the litigation of each claim through discussions with counsel, vendors, and insureds.
  • Establishing clear ground rules with defense and coverage counsel to maintain financial control of budget and expenses.
  • Managing a diary system to efficiently handle and resolve assigned claim inventory.
  • Negotiating high exposure claims with top plaintiff attorneys nationwide, including attending mediations and trials as necessary.
  • Completing required file and management reports, participating in roundtables, and performing reconciliation reports with the TPA.

Requirements

  • 3+ years previous general and auto liability claims experience preferred.
  • Experience with Claims Third Party Administrators preferred.
  • Property and Casualty licenses preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and persuasive skills.
  • Proven organizational, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of the claim litigation process.
  • Motivated individuals interested in an upwardly mobile career path.
  • Windows XP and Microsoft applications skills necessary.
