About the position
The Claims Processing Specialist at Immanuel Communities is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and adjudicating medical claims from both contracted and non-contracted providers. This role is crucial in ensuring that claims are processed accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall mission of serving residents and their families. Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and adjudicate Pathways claims from outside providers.
- Verify that a valid order was written for the service along with the required requisition.
- Ensure that appropriate medical records have been received and recorded in the Electronic Medical Records System.
- Field inquiries regarding the status and payment of all claims.
Requirements
- Two (2) years of experience in medical claims processing is required.
- Experience in a health care or hospital setting is desirable.
