Duties Initiates claims when requested by managers and associates of other departments. Creates claim forms, tracks progress and handles payment and/or settlements for repair or replacement flooring. Works with suppliers to maximize claim amounts for credit or refund and submits to accounts payable for posting. Arranges independent inspections with suppliers for purposes of validating claim. Arranges for shipment of defective product sample to manufacturer. Coordinates communication between supplier, independent inspectors, warranty department and end user. Maintains records of all claims and associated paperwork. Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention and control of records. Manages internal supply orders company-wide. Expedites product purchases in a cost-effective manner. Coordinates communication between supplier and sales staff. Prints purchase orders. Assists with maintaining vendor pricing and product file entry as needed. Requirements One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of RFMS Accounting, Inventory and Sales Order modules, Internet software; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word word Processing software.
