About the position
The Claims Senior Representative-Property Field is a technical expert responsible for claims adjusting within the Eastern PA/Western OH territory. This role involves determining coverage, investigating claims, negotiating settlements, and mentoring less experienced adjusters. The position requires delivering quality customer service in a high-volume, moderate complexity environment.
Responsibilities
- Determine proper coverage for assigned claims.
- Investigate claims thoroughly to gather relevant facts.
- Meet established goals and objectives for claims processing.
- Provide support in negotiating settlements with various stakeholders.
- Manage approved vendors and counsel in the claims process.
- Review and issue payments to vendors and counsel according to guidelines.
- Support the review of proper reserves for each claim.
- Identify and refer claims to management for further handling.
- Formulate recommendations for claims file handling and renewal processing.
- Request additional information from agents as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with all parties involved in the claims process.
- Complete reports to document claim status and necessary documentation.
- Interpret complex documents such as contracts and legal regulations.
- Stay updated on industry changes and best practices.
- Adjust first party homeowners and commercial property claims.
- Utilize Xactimate for evaluating property claims.
- Travel as needed to cover assigned territory.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Claims Handling experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company standards.

- Experience with Xactimate software.
