About the position

The Claims Specialist at SilverBack Home Warranty is responsible for managing customer claims requests and ensuring a high-quality service experience. This role involves direct communication with customers via phone, email, and text, as well as coordination with vendors and documentation of customer interactions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, solution-focused, and possesses strong communication skills, aiming to contribute to a positive customer experience in the home warranty industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer claims requests via phone calls, emails, and text messages.
  • Coordinate with Title and other vendors to facilitate claims processing.
  • Document customer interactions and conduct welcome calls.
  • Place orders for new policies as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of customer service experience required.
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both on the phone and in person.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and accurately document customer histories.
  • Meticulous reporting and recording skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems resourcefully.
  • Task and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to follow directions and accept constructive feedback.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's degree (2 years) preferred.
  • Strong online CRM and cloud-based knowledge.
  • Spanish speaking skills (compensated slightly higher).
