About the position

The Claremont Logistics Manager at Prysmian Group is responsible for overseeing inbound materials, outbound finished goods, and production planning at the Claremont Fiber Plant. This role involves coordinating manufacturing operations to forecast orders, optimize resources, and ensure compliance with import and export procedures. The manager will conduct performance analyses, engage in planning, and implement logistics solutions to improve operational efficiency and service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee manufacturing operations to forecast orders and meet customer demands.
  • Optimize operational resources while executing cost reductions and inventory controls.
  • Ensure compliance with import and export procedures by employees and contracted service providers.
  • Conduct monthly capacity and performance analyses to align forecasts and schedules.
  • Execute demand flow verification processes and conduct inventory analyses for warehouse utilization.
  • Promote the design, development, and implementation of warehouse distribution and logistics solutions.
  • Manage labor costs, personnel productivity, inventory levels, data accuracy, and stocking strategies.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of departmental activities and operations.
  • Implement strategies to improve service quality, employee efficiency, equipment performance, and interdepartmental communication.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in logistics management and manufacturing operations.
  • Strong analytical skills for capacity and performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of import and export compliance procedures.
  • Ability to optimize resources and implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Experience in inventory management and warehouse utilization.
