About the position
System Transport is seeking experienced CDL-A flatbed truck drivers for over-the-road (OTR) routes. The role involves transporting various goods such as glass, steel, and machinery across the western region of America. Drivers can expect competitive pay and excellent benefits, with a focus on safety and support throughout their driving experience.
Responsibilities
- Transport goods and materials using a flatbed truck on OTR routes.
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of cargo.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Tarp loads as required, which involves lifting a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Class A CDL.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- A safe driving record is required.
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years.
- 4+ months of driving experience required.
- Background check and clean drug test required.
- Clean Clearinghouse result required.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of truck driving experience preferred but not necessary.
