About the position

This position is responsible for driving trucks over established routes to safely and efficiently deliver products and render services. The role involves loading and unloading products at various locations primarily within a specific geographic territory, which is usually completed within the same shift. The driver will be tasked with delivering a variety of items, including perishable foods, tabletop items, special equipment, and frozen foods. Additionally, the driver will inform customers about new products or services, distribute sales promotion materials, and resolve any customer complaints that may arise during the delivery process. The driver is also responsible for recording information on daily sales and delivery records, obtaining customer signatures upon pickup and delivery, and ensuring compliance with company policies and D.O.T. regulations. Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet business requirements. This position requires flexibility, as the demands of the department may include overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for tractor trailer operation.
  • Must have a good driving record for the past 39 months.
  • One or more years of tractor trailer/route delivery experience.
  • Must be available to work with the demands of the department, which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
