About the position
Cooper Farms, a family-owned farm and food company with a rich history of 85 years in Northwest Ohio, is seeking dedicated Class A CDL Drivers to join our team. We are currently looking for drivers for various positions, including Local Egg Delivery, Feed Delivery, and Regional Egg Delivery. Each role offers unique shift hours and responsibilities, ensuring that our drivers can find a position that fits their lifestyle and preferences. The Local Egg Delivery Driver position operates on a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, while the Feed Delivery role is on a second shift from 3:00 pm to 2:00 am. For those interested in regional driving, the schedule varies based on travel, but most runs are within 750 miles of our Coldwater, Ohio location, allowing drivers to be home every weekend and once during the week. We offer competitive pay rates, with the potential for increases after 90 days, and regional drivers can earn over $100,000 per year based on mileage and additional bonuses. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a $3,000 sign-on bonus, paid in increments of $500 each month for the first six months, contingent upon a one-year commitment for internal candidates. Our drivers are responsible for delivering products as scheduled, maintaining proper biosecurity measures, completing daily inspections of their vehicles, and keeping accurate logs and maintenance reports. Responsibilities
- Delivering products as scheduled
- Properly disinfecting trucks and using proper biosecurity attire
- Completing a daily inspection of tractor/trailer and maintaining cleanliness per DOT Commercial Driving Inspections
- Completing driver logs and inspection/maintenance reports
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have a Class A CDL
- Must have 2 years of driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to tolerate adverse weather conditions and dusty conditions
- Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time and climb feed bin ladders
