About The Position

American Furniture Warehouse is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our team. This position offers a competitive pay structure, with earnings ranging from 56-58 cents per mile, depending on years of experience. Drivers can expect additional pay for safety bonuses, performance bonuses, detention, breakdowns, layovers, and referrals. The average yearly pay is between $75,000 to $100,000, with the potential to earn more. We pride ourselves on our family values and provide a supportive work environment. Most drivers enjoy home time weekly, with 34-48 hours off, and we ensure that all trips are pre-planned in advance, minimizing wait times at truck stops.

Requirements

• At least 1 tractor-trailer driving experience in the past 3 years.
• No major FMCSA violations.
• Acceptable MVR and PSP within the last three years.
• Must be able to maintain a CDL.
• Mountain driving experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and the ability to promote awareness.
• Perform vehicle pre-trips up to FMCSA standards.
• Operate Electronic Qualm Log System.
• Be willing to chain up during severe weather.
• Function and interact routinely with the AFW management team.
• Communicate using a cellular telephone with dispatch and AFW personnel via McLeod application.
• Work independently of direct supervision.
