Class A CDL Driver

About the position

The Class A CDL Driver at Panera Bread is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of freshly made dough products to assigned bakery cafes. This role involves loading and unloading bakery cabinets onto clean, well-maintained vehicles and performing safe driving practices to meet delivery schedules. Drivers will work local routes, allowing them to return home each morning, and must be flexible with their hours, including the possibility of overnight and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload rolling filled bakery cabinets utilizing reefer units and lift gates.
• Drive safely and efficiently to deliver products on time to bakery cafes.
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of dough for baking processes.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the delivery vehicle.
• Follow local routes during assigned shifts without overnight trips.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months CDL-A tractor trailer driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL license; doubles endorsement preferred.
• Ability to obtain a 1 year DOT medical card upon employment.
• Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment driving, criminal and drug test.
• Basic math skills.
• Proven ability to work independently while performing a variety of production tasks.
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
