About the position

The Delivery Driver position at SYGMA Oklahoma involves safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to various customers using a tractor trailer. The role emphasizes teamwork and customer service, with a focus on maintaining food safety protocols and ensuring timely deliveries. Drivers can expect to run 2-3 routes per week, with significant earning potential and benefits including paid training and a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Unload product from trailer, by hand or using a hand cart, in all weather conditions and place in designated customer storage areas according to customer specifications.
  • Complete all paperwork according to established company and governmental guidelines, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Meet all food safety protocols, maintaining proper temperatures and sanitary conditions in the delivery vehicle and warehouse.
  • Develop and establish good relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service with clear communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
  • Completion of a tractor trailer driving school will be accepted instead of, or in addition to a high school diploma.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hazmat guidelines.
  • Skill in driving over long distances and in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to handle hazardous materials and food items that are frozen, dry, and refrigerated.
