About the position
Dunavant is seeking Class A Owner Operators for local and regional driving opportunities in Norfolk, VA. This position offers flexible hours, home daily schedules, and competitive compensation, with the potential to earn up to $180,000 per year. The role includes a sign-on bonus and a referral bonus, emphasizing a family-oriented work environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive local and regional routes as a Class A Owner Operator.
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of freight.
- Participate in drop and hook operations for local drivers and live unload for regional drivers.
- Maintain compliance with all transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Manage fuel expenses and take advantage of fuel discounts offered by the company.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL license.
- Hazardous endorsements required for local drivers.
- Minimum of 15 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience within the last three years or 24 months within the last four years.
- TWIC card preferred for port city locations.
