About the position
This position is for a Class A CDL driver for a dedicated regional intermodal run based out of Wilmer, TX. The role involves transporting freight using both truck and railway, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs at designated locations. The driver will be home weekly for resets and is expected to manage their hours effectively while on the road.
Responsibilities
- Transport freight using a Class A tractor-trailer on dedicated regional intermodal routes.
- Pick up containers and drop them off at railways as part of the intermodal process.
- Manage driving hours and sleep in the truck as needed to maximize driving time.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to various locations including Paris, Pineville, Abilene, and Georgetown.
- Perform drop and hook operations and live unloads with no touch freight.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Class A CDL license.
- Minimum of 6 months of Class A 53' tractor-trailer experience within the past year.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- No accidents or incidents within the past year.
- Must live within 50 miles of the Wilmer terminal.
- CDL address must match the hiring area.
