Marengo Hauling / Waste Connections is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Class B CDL Truck Driver to join our team in Marengo, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a garbage truck along specified routes to collect solid waste. This position requires you to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher, ensuring that all pickups are completed efficiently and effectively. You will also be expected to perform routine post and pre-route inspections on vehicles, which includes checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition. Customer interaction is a key aspect of this role, and you will be required to have professional and courteous interactions with our customers when needed. Additionally, you may be assigned other miscellaneous job-related duties as required.
