About the position

American Stone is looking to hire a full-time Local Delivery Driver with a Class B License to deliver a wide variety of stone products to retail customers, landscaping and masonry contractors. Mechanic ability is a plus. Do you have excellent interpersonal skills, with an energetic and outgoing personality? Do you have the ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism?

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and safe delivery of stone products to a diverse clientele.
• Load, unload, prepare, and inspect delivery vehicle.
• Follow the schedule specified by the dispatcher.
• Navigate different addresses and routes, including challenging mountain roads and dirt paths.
• Inform customers and contractors about new products and services.
• Seek feedback on provided services and resolve any complaints promptly.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair fleet equipment.
• Conduct thorough safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Complete logs, reports, and timecards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a delivery driver.
• Clean driving record with no traffic violations.
• Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in various weather and traffic conditions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Valid CDL with proper endorsement.
• Valid Medical Card.
• Experience driving a flat bed and dump truck is helpful.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Must have a clean criminal record.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
