About the position

The Classification & Compensation Analyst plays a crucial role in the Human Resources department of Fauquier County Public Schools. This position is responsible for analyzing and evaluating the classification and compensation structures within the school system to ensure they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the overall goals of the organization. The analyst will conduct comprehensive job evaluations, market research, and salary surveys to provide data-driven recommendations for compensation adjustments and classifications. This role requires a deep understanding of compensation principles, labor market trends, and the ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and regulations. In addition to conducting analyses, the Classification & Compensation Analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders, including HR staff, school administrators, and external partners, to develop and implement compensation strategies that attract and retain qualified staff. The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and documentation related to job classifications and compensation structures, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Classification & Compensation Analyst will also be expected to stay current with industry trends and best practices in compensation and classification management.

Requirements
