About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Classified Cyber Security Intern to join their security team in Orlando, FL. This role involves supporting the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) functions as part of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other security directives. The intern will apply cyber security principles to critical systems and networks, engage in threat hunting, vulnerability scanning, and system security documentation, while also interfacing with security agencies and customers.

Requirements

• Knowledge of supporting Cybersecurity activities as a Systems Administrator.
• Familiarity with Risk Management Framework and Assessment and Authorization processes.
• Knowledge of configuring security settings on Windows computers.
• Experience with Windows products and basic knowledge of UNIX operating systems.
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in a related discipline.
• Ability to obtain a final secret clearance.

• Knowledge of or experience implementing Cyber Security principles.
• Knowledge of or experience working with secure information systems.
• Understanding of network and encryption concepts.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) functions as part of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Apply cyber security principles to critical systems and networks.
• Conduct threat hunting and scanning systems for vulnerabilities.
• Install antivirus definitions to protect systems from threats.
• Secure new classified computer systems and document configuration changes.
• Monitor all RMF controls continuously.
• Interface effectively with security agencies and customers.
• Develop and implement government-approved information security procedures.
• Conduct or oversee self-inspections to maintain compliance with security directives.
