About the position

The Cybersecurity Analyst position at Northrop Grumman involves working on-site in Redondo Beach, CA, focusing on the security of classified systems within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. The role requires performing comprehensive assessments of security controls, establishing program control processes, and supporting certification and accreditation of systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, particularly in managing risks and ensuring compliance with government policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessment of management, operational, and technical security controls.
  • Establish strict program control processes to ensure risk mitigation and support certification and accreditation of systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of required government policies and make recommendations on process tailoring.
  • Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and recommend additional safeguards.
  • Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by government accrediting authorities.
  • Document results of Certification and Accreditation activities and prepare system Security Plans.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of system audits and monitor corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with 3 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience; OR an Associate's degree with 7 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma with 9 years of experience.
  • Current DOD Top Secret level security clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs.
  • Active DoD 8570 IAM level II (or higher) security certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security.
  • Active DoD 8570 IAM level III security certification.
  • Experience with Certification and Accreditation of classified systems and Risk Management Framework.
  • Knowledge of ACAS, NESSUS, SPLUNK, SCAP, POA&Ms, NIST, DIACAP, NISPOM, system audits, vulnerability scanning, and RMF package development.
