About the position

The Classified Cybersecurity Analyst position at Northrop Grumman involves supporting information systems lifecycle activities within classified environments. The role focuses on assessing systems and networks, ensuring compliance with security policies, and managing risks associated with cybersecurity threats. The position requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and the ability to work on-site due to the classified nature of the work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave.
  • Identify deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
  • Establish strict program control processes to ensure risk mitigation.
  • Support obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of required government policy and make recommendations on process tailoring.
  • Participate in and document process activities related to security certification tests.
  • Conduct analyses to validate established security requirements and recommend additional safeguards.
  • Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by government accrediting authorities.
  • Document results of Certification and Accreditation activities and prepare system Security Plans.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of system audits and monitor corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with 3 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience; OR an Associates degree with 7 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of experience for level 3.
  • Master's Degree with 7 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 9 years of experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 11 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 13 years of experience for level 4.
  • Must have a DoD 8570 IAM level II (or higher) security certification for level 3; level III for level 4.
  • Current DOD Top Secret level security clearance with SCI access eligibility.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph as a condition of employment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity.
  • 10 years of experience with Certification and Accreditation of classified systems and Risk Management Framework.
  • Knowledge of ACAS, NESSUS, SPLUNK, SCAP, STIG, POA&Ms, NIST, DIACAP, JSIG, DAAPM, NISPOM.
  • Familiarity with the NIST 800 family including NIST 800-37 and NIST 800-53.
  • Familiarity with researching and evaluating CVE/CVSS.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and accreditation.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with SAP/SAR access and a recent Polygraph adjudicated within the last 5 years.
