About the position

The Classified Cybersecurity Manager 2 position at Northrop Grumman involves leading a team of Information Systems Security Professionals (ISSOs/ISSMs) to manage the cyber operations of a classified enterprise network. The role requires acting as an Agile Product Owner and implementing ITIL practices to ensure the security and integrity of IT systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, agile methodologies, and ITIL frameworks, and will be responsible for developing security policies, conducting assessments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain ITIL practices to manage IT services, including incident management, problem management, change management, and service level management.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify and address potential threats.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to ensure the organization remains protected against emerging threats.
  • Manage and respond to security incidents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to minimize impact and ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices.
  • Supervise a team of Classified Cybersecurity Analysts and Information System Security Officers (ISSO).
  • Foster an environment for individual development, teamwork, effective performance management, and open communication.
  • Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining formal Assessment & Authorization of systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of required government policy (i.e. DAAPM, JSIG, ICD-503).
  • Support the formal Security Assessment process required by the company or government customer.
  • Effectively communicate with program management teams and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the interview and selection process of new employees.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with 7 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 9 years experience; OR Associate's degree with 11 years of experience; OR a High School diploma or equivalent and 13 years of experience is required.
  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IAM Level III security certification (examples: CISM, GSLC, CCISO, CISSP), or have the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Candidates must have a current DOD Secret security clearance (at a minimum).
  • Experience as an Agile Product Owner, or similar role.
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and ITIL frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or similar STEM related discipline.
  • 8 years of ISSO/ISSM experience with RMF.
  • Prior leadership or management experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Diverse classified information systems security / information assurance background.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience communicating with customer and program leadership.
