About the position

The Classified Cybersecurity Manager 2 will lead a team of Information Systems Security Professionals (ISSOs/ISSMs) at Northrop Grumman's Redondo Beach location. This role focuses on managing cybersecurity operations for a classified enterprise network, implementing ITIL practices, and acting as an Agile Product Owner. The ideal candidate will ensure the security and integrity of IT systems while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain ITIL practices to manage IT services, including incident management, problem management, change management, and service level management.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify and address potential threats.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to ensure the organization remains protected against emerging threats.
  • Manage and respond to security incidents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to minimize impact and ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with 7 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 9 years experience; OR Associate's degree with 11 years of experience; OR a High School diploma or equivalent and 13 years of experience is required.
  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IAM Level III security certification (examples: CISM, GSLC, CCISO, CISSP), or have the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Candidates must have a current DOD Secret security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered.
  • Experience as an Agile Product Owner, or similar role.
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and ITIL frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or similar STEM related discipline
  • 8 years of ISSO/ISSM experience with RMF
  • Prior leadership or management experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • Diverse classified information systems security / information assurance background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience communicating with customer and program leadership.
