About the position

The Classified Substitute - Warehouse Delivery Driver position at the Salinas Union High School District involves driving a District service vehicle to deliver supplies, food, and other items to various school sites and offices. The role also includes performing warehousing duties and ensuring the safe handling of materials and equipment. This position is essential for supporting the operational needs of the district's educational programs.

Responsibilities

• Drive a District service vehicle to pickup and deliver supplies, food, and other items to schools, cafeterias, and offices.
• Perform warehousing duties in the warehouse as required.
• Ensure proper methods of lifting and carrying materials and equipment are followed.
• Operate a forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment used in warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
• An acceptable driving record and qualification for insurability by the District's insurance carrier.
• Criminal Justice fingerprint clearance.
• Evidence of TB clearance.
• Knowledge of routine delivery scheduling practices.
• Ability to drive a box truck.
