About the position

The Senior Classified Systems Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for conducting comprehensive information security and cybersecurity analysis activities. This role involves planning, executing, and overseeing security protocols to protect classified information systems and infrastructure. The analyst will secure classified cybersecurity assets, provide incident detection and response services, perform vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct information security and cybersecurity analysis activities.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee security protocols for classified information systems.
  • Secure classified cybersecurity assets and provide incident detection and response services.
  • Perform technical assessments of classified systems and networks.
  • Identify and remediate deviations from acceptable configurations and policies.
  • Implement management procedures to mitigate risks and communicate residual risks to stakeholders.
  • Support security certification tests, documentation, investigations, and audits involving classified data.
  • Perform vulnerability scans of classified networks and applications.
  • Monitor and analyze cybersecurity alerts from various tools and systems.
  • Validate established security requirements and recommend additional safeguards.
  • Actively monitor and respond to classified network and host security events.
  • Prepare system Security Plans and update the Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
  • Review classified system audits and oversee corrective actions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical experience on classified networks.
  • Experience applying ICD 503 and ICD 504 guidelines to classified systems.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain IAM Level II Certification within 6 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with secure communication protocols such as TLS/SSL, IPsec, and secure email (S/MIME).
  • Knowledge of NIST Special Publication 800-53 guidelines for securing federal information systems.
  • Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possession of excellent communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology field.
  • DoD 8140 IAM Level I or higher Certification.
