About the position

The La Conner School District is seeking qualified applicants for various positions. All employees are required to undergo specific training and provide necessary documentation as part of the hiring process. This includes training related to HIV/Bloodborne Pathogen and Hazardous Materials, as well as Hepatitis B training for those working with medically fragile students. The district will provide training for new employees who do not have prior certifications. Selected candidates will need to meet several conditions of employment, including providing original teaching and administrative certificates, official transcripts, and passing background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required training for HIV/Bloodborne Pathogen and Hazardous Materials.
  • Complete Hepatitis B training within ten days of employment if required.
  • Provide originals of all Teaching and Administrative Certificates.
  • Submit official, sealed transcripts to the Personnel Department.
  • Verify years of certificated experience.
  • Pass WSP and FBI background clearance check.
  • Complete Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure Release Form.
  • Submit I-9 Employment Eligibility documentation.
  • Complete W-4 form and WA State Department of Retirement Status form.
  • Provide immunization history for individuals born on or after January 1, 1957.
  • Provide Social Security Card and Driver's License for identification.

Requirements

  • Must be a citizen or have a visa permitting work in the United States.
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job.
  • Must authorize background checks and investigations into personal, educational, and employment history.
  • Must certify that all information provided is true and complete.
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal history background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Completion of Special Education Para-Educator Competencies.
  • Right Response training.
  • Experience working with children with sensory, mental, physical, or learning disabilities.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
