About the position

The La Conner School District is seeking applicants for positions that require compliance with specific training and documentation requirements. All employees must complete HIV/Bloodborne Pathogen and Hazardous Materials training, with the district providing this training for new hires. Additionally, employees working with medically fragile students must complete Hepatitis B training within ten days of employment. The district will also provide this training. Selected candidates will need to submit various documents, including teaching and administrative certificates, official transcripts, and proof of immunization history, among others. A successful background check and completion of specific forms are also required.

Responsibilities

  • Complete required training for HIV/Bloodborne Pathogen and Hazardous Materials.
  • Complete Hepatitis B training if working with medically fragile students.
  • Submit originals of all Teaching and Administrative Certificates.
  • Provide official, sealed transcripts to the Personnel Department.
  • Verify years of certificated experience.
  • Pass WSP and FBI background clearance check.
  • Complete Washington State Sexual Misconduct Disclosure Release Form.
  • Submit I-9 Employment Eligibility documentation.
  • Complete W-4 form and WA State Department of Retirement Status form.
  • Provide immunization history for individuals born on or after January 1, 1957.
  • Provide Social Security Card and Driver's License for identification.

Requirements

  • Must be a citizen or have a visa permitting work in the United States.
  • Must be physically able to perform job duties.
  • Must authorize background checks and investigations.
  • Must certify that application information is true and complete.
  • Must be willing to submit to a criminal history background check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Current First Aid/CPR card.
  • Completion of Special Education Para-Educator Competencies.
  • Experience working with children with disabilities.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
