About the position
The Teacher Aide position is essential in providing a nurturing and educational environment for preschool children. This role involves assisting lead teachers in implementing curriculum, supervising children, and maintaining a safe and engaging classroom atmosphere. The position is full-time and requires a commitment to supporting the early development of young learners.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities
- Supervise and engage children during playtime and learning activities
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for children
- Assist with mealtime and ensure children's nutritional needs are met
- Collaborate with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
- Follow all safety and health protocols
- Provide support to children's emotional and behavioral needs
- Assist with administrative tasks and record-keeping as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Experience working with preschool children preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if applicable)
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings
