About the position

The Classroom Instructor & Course Developer position at Fort Eisenhower, Augusta, GA, involves delivering training programs on Cloud technologies for the US Army. This hands-on teaching role requires the development and delivery of course materials in a classroom setting, necessitating an active Secret Clearance. The instructor will work closely with a team of professionals to enhance the professional development of military personnel through effective training methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom education on Cloud technologies and data engineering principles.
• Develop training materials and assist with their validation.
• Implement certified classroom instruction and maintain training materials for Signal School courses.
• Create lesson plans, presentations, and practical exercises for cloud computing and cybersecurity training.
• Align training materials with course design and learning outcomes as specified in the Program of Instruction (POI).
• Participate in validating learning products and make recommendations for improvements.
• Develop assessments (labs, quizzes, tests) to evaluate student understanding of training material.
• Administer tests and student assessments, recording results in the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Instruct various field-related courses and evaluate student performance using approved instructional methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject; Master's degree preferred.
• At least one certification: AWS Cloud Solutions Architecture or MS Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Minimum of 3 years operational experience in Cloud technologies.
• Experience in designing and delivering Data Engineering and Data Management classes.
• Familiarity with developing classroom-ready training materials and utilizing Learning Management Systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Current Common Faculty Developer-Instructor Course (CFD-IC) certification or willingness to obtain it within 90 days.
