About the position

The Science Dual Language Teacher is responsible for promoting and developing successful learning experiences for students in a dual language setting. This temporary full-time position requires effective communication and collaboration with students, parents, and staff, while adhering to district policies and the teacher contract.

Responsibilities

• Promote and develop successful learning for students in a dual language environment.
• Perform instructional and related duties in accordance with District policies and the teacher contract.
• Maintain a cooperative attitude with staff, parents, and students.

Requirements

• A valid State of Oregon Teaching License appropriate for the position with the correct endorsement.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish, defined as fluency in reading, writing, and speaking two languages as determined by District screening tool.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others.
• Proficient in the use of computer and Internet-based applications, including email and systems applications.
• Ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District.
• Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons.
