About the position

The Classroom Technology Assistant for the Executive MBA program at the David Eccles School of Business is a part-time student role focused on providing direct support for classroom technology and related tasks during class days. This position requires availability every other Friday and Saturday to assist faculty and staff, ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment for executive students.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct classroom technology support to faculty and full-time staff during Executive MBA class days.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technology issues that arise during classes.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service when engaging with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Assist with classroom operations, including setup and breakdown of equipment as needed.
  • Address student and staff questions or concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist with other classroom-related tasks as requested.

Requirements

  • Must be a current University of Utah student.
  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Professional attire and demeanor required.
  • Ability to work in high-stress situations and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
