About the position
The Crew Member (Lawn Maintenance) position at Utilities Service, LLC is responsible for executing small-scale landscape maintenance operations on assigned properties. This role requires individuals who have mastered the skills associated with routine landscape maintenance and can work safely and efficiently as part of a team. The Crew Member will report to the Crew Leader or Operations Manager and is expected to deliver quality work on time while maintaining a positive and customer-focused attitude.
Responsibilities
- Perform all job-related tasks safely and efficiently using tools and equipment according to company safety policy.
- Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools for landscape and irrigation duties.
- Perform assigned landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, watering, and fertilizing.
- Prune shrubs and trees to improve growth or remove damaged parts.
- Prepare and grade terrain for landscaping.
- Install and transplant trees, shrubs, and other plant materials as needed.
- Assist in loading and unloading equipment and supplies on trucks.
- Comply with equipment preventative maintenance programs and clean used equipment daily.
- Keep job sites, vehicles, and offices safe, clean, and organized.
- Inform supervisors of any issues on site or with equipment.
- Participate in training programs as required.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 1+ years of experience in mowing, pruning, and landscape basics.
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
