About the position

The Lead Cleaner is responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning tasks of a janitorial team, ensuring that assigned areas such as offices, commercial spaces, and institutional buildings are kept clean and orderly. This role requires effective communication and collaboration with team members, clients, and management, while adhering to safety protocols and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cleaning tasks of the janitorial team.
• Ensure assigned areas are clean and orderly.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures and chemicals.
• Direct special cleaning projects as needed.
• Support the Cleaning Manager in completing punch-list items.
• Communicate professionally with team members, managers, and customers.
• Fill in during staff shortages and assist with day-to-day operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial janitorial experience.
• Understanding of safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
