About the position
The Industrial Cleaner position involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks in both office and industrial settings, with a strong emphasis on safety and the ability to work in dynamic environments. The role requires dedication and attention to detail, ensuring that workspaces are clean and safe for all employees.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic janitorial duties, including cleaning restrooms, offices, and common areas.
- Clean around industrial forging machines, furnaces, and conveyors ensuring a safe and tidy workspace.
- Change bag houses dust collector bags and clean any dust accumulation.
- Respond to and clean oil and waste spills promptly and safely.
- Enter confined spaces as required, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Operate various forklifts and sweeper truck.
- Move and sort various materials.
- Assist with additional cleaning tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Comply with all work instructions, JSA's work rules and company policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand SOP's, MSDS sheets and work instructions.
- Strong commitment to safety.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in an industrial environment.
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or janitorial services.
- Forklift experience.
