About The Position

The Celebrity Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and providing exceptional service in assigned areas on the cruise ship. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks, ensuring a seamless guest experience through attention to detail and outstanding hospitality. The position requires effective communication skills and the ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in Italian, Portuguese, French, and Spanish; English is a plus.
• Experience in cleaning and hospitality services.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a cruise ship or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Maintains assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition during scheduled shifts.
• Reports to workstation on time, properly groomed and dressed according to standards.
• Operates steam cleaning equipment, scrapers, brooms, and various hand and power tools.
• Uses cleaning agents and chemicals, mixing solutions according to specifications.
• Cleans public bathrooms, elevators, offices, corridors, public areas, and crew member quarters.
• Cleans and replenishes towels and amenities in the Spa area as assigned.
• Cleans carpet, upholstery, floors, walls, ceilings, draperies, windows, and room accessories.
• Sprays or fogs carpet and upholstery with conditioners, deodorizers, and disinfectants.
• Dusts furniture and washes windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Notifies management of maintenance issues in public and crew areas.
• Maintains cleaning supplies and equipment in good working order.
• Maintains knowledge of ship's events to provide accurate information to guests.
• Assists food service personnel in collecting soiled items throughout the vessel.
• Assists Room Service team with breakfast orders and collection process.
• Empties and cleans wastebaskets and transports trash to disposal area.
• Transports guest luggage during embarkation and disembarkation.
• Handles ship stores on loading days as scheduled by management.
• Assists inventory team with loading of stores as assigned.
• Assists on gangway/tender/pier operation as assigned.
• Provides wheelchair assistance during debark operations.
• Acquires necessary knowledge to comply with ship's standards and assist guests and crew.
• Attends meetings, training, and work-related activities as required.
• Performs duties related to any Outbreak Prevention Plan situation onboard.
• Assists in the main laundry when needed.
