About the position

As a member of the Cleaning Crew at ServiceMaster of Allentown, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various facilities, particularly in a school setting. This part-time position involves performing essential janitorial tasks, ensuring that all areas are well-maintained and presentable, and contributing to a safe and welcoming environment. Your experience in commercial cleaning and strong time management skills will be vital in executing your responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and place monthly orders when supplies need to be replenished
• Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards
• Follow proper safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Requirements

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
• Knowledge of janitorial practices and techniques
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects if required
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working for a professional janitorial or cleaning company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school
• Ability to communicate in English
