About the position

The Systems Engineer will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability analyses for total systems, particularly focusing on the F-35 Pilot Training Devices simulator. This role involves translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications while ensuring adherence to technical, schedule, and cost constraints. The candidate will work within an Agile Scrum team, supporting various engineering activities including requirements decomposition, technical writing, and system testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning and system integration for total systems.
• Conduct verification and validation analyses.
• Analyze cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness of systems.
• Translate customer requirements into total systems solutions.
• Develop hardware and software specifications based on functional analysis and requirements allocation.
• Support requirements decomposition and CONOPS development.
• Create Use Case and Interface diagrams.
• Manage design reviews and develop test plans.
• Contribute to system testing and MBSE artifact development.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Experience in HW/SW architecture development
• Experience in requirements decomposition, allocation, and interface definition
• Technical background in Systems Engineering and/or Systems Architecture
• Experience developing architectures and/or requirements

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering applications
• Familiarity with Development and Operations (DevOps) technologies
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
