About the position

Amentum is seeking Data Center Technicians to join their Infrastructure Operations team. This role is crucial for ensuring the availability and reliability of data center operations for government clients. Technicians will be responsible for hardware and network diagnostics, physical repairs, and troubleshooting various datacenter infrastructure issues. The position requires participation in a rotating schedule and may involve travel to various locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall availability and reliability of data center operations.
• Perform hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-based problems.
• Participate in a rotating schedule for support coverage.
• Address a range of datacenter infrastructure issues including hardware, fiber, and networking.

Requirements

• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above.
• US Citizenship required to obtain US Security Clearance.
• Associate's degree or higher in IT-related field or equivalent professional or military experience.
• 2+ years of Computer Hardware experience.
• 2+ years of experience with technical troubleshooting and remediation.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with government data center operations.
• Familiarity with fiber optics and networking issues.
