About the position

All Points Logistics is seeking a Top Secret Cleared GCCS-J System Administrator to support mission requirements at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining networked UNIX, Linux, and Windows systems, ensuring optimal performance, security compliance, and user account management. The position requires proactive and reactive system administration, along with the ability to provide technical support and recommendations for system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain the Red Hat operating system on VMware virtualization infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10 operating systems.
• Interpret and modify batch, shell, and PowerShell scripts.
• Conduct routine hardware and software audits on workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
• Maintain system backups and database archives for data recovery.
• Provide computer support to resolve hardware/software issues.
• Understand and implement established security policies.
• Perform proactive and reactive system administration to ensure data and service availability.
• Provide recommendations regarding system performance and capacity planning.

Requirements

• Active US DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher required.
• Full United States citizenship required.
• 2-4 years of experience with a BS degree, or 0-2 years with an MS degree, or 8-10 years of relevant work/military experience in lieu of education.
• Required certifications: Sec+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of virtualization concepts and products (VMware).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for user and groups.
• Experience with Oracle/Sybase/Postgress database maintenance.
• Familiarity with Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss).
