About the position

ReindeerTek is seeking a Software Developer to support a classified customer through a technical development program. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using Java for a microservice system, employing best practices in DevSecOps for automated deployment. The developer will work on software systems development, including troubleshooting and debugging, while managing software and hardware dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications utilizing Java for microservice systems.
• Perform automated deployment of software modules via DevSecOps Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
• Troubleshoot and debug software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems.
• Identify software and hardware dependencies and capacities.
• Develop Restful APIs and manage microservices in Java 11.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance prior to applying.
• Experience writing, managing, and updating microservices in Java 11.
• Deep understanding of API driven logic including Oauth/OIDC architectures.
• Experience with Java build automation tools such as Maven and/or Gradle.
• Proficiency in Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and MVC.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience integrating APIs into COTS endpoints with custom payload requirements.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture best practices for delivering web services.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and deployment processes such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Puppet/Chef.
• Experience with code version tools such as Github and branching/merging strategies.
• Background in COTS integration and implementations.
