About the position

The Cleared Network Architect position at Colossal Contracting, LLC involves providing expert-level networking support, particularly with Aruba products, to government customers at Ft. Meade. The role emphasizes both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, requiring the architect to act as a trusted advisor while collaborating closely with customer teams to optimize their networking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Providing Pre-service and Post-Deployment technical support
  • Acting as an extended member of the customer team
  • Proactively analyzing and recommending ways to optimize and utilize the customer's Aruba investment
  • Assessing and escalating technical issues in support of HPE-Aruba TAC and Product Engineering organizations
  • Collaborating in the development of mobility solutions, building test beds, conducting verification & validation testing, and developing performance benchmarks
  • Educating and expanding customer HPE-Aruba technical expertise through workshops, coaching sessions, design reviews, and documentation
  • Integrating as part of the customer engineering and operations team
  • Quickly assessing and analyzing data points to focus on root causes of customer issues with HPE-Aruba products
  • Continuously educating and expanding the technical expertise of the customer
  • Teaming with the HPE-Aruba Sales Team and engaging in their work with the customer
  • Operating inter-dependently with diverse personnel to draw expertise in problem-solving
  • Maintaining a sense of mission and focus on results that bring value to the customer
  • Providing consulting and establishing a Trusted Advisor relationship on Aruba networking and security solutions
  • Implementing and troubleshooting Aruba networking and security solutions and integrating with existing legacy networking vendors
  • Writing supporting documentation for networking solutions when required
  • Taking personal responsibility for ongoing education and expanding expertise within the Aruba product line and technologies
  • Working as part of a larger team on larger designs/implementations
  • Potentially traveling to customer sites as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Typically, 7+ years of experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of practical hands-on experience
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance (possible flexibility if holding a Secret)

Nice-to-haves

  • Aruba certifications including but not limited to ACMA, AWMP, ACCP, ACMP, ACCX
