About the position

Noblis is seeking to hire a Scrum Master (All Levels) with an ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI and Polygraph in Chantilly, VA. As a Data Scientist with our team, you will be working with our federal clients to support the development of innovative solutions for immediate mission challenges. In your role, you will work on teams with software developers, systems engineers, systems architects, business analysts, PMs, and SMEs to apply the best practices and state-of-the-art agile methodologies. This position involves supporting a team developing software and analytics to solve important mission challenges. You will interface with the team to scope projects and maintain tasks and milestones on schedule, utilizing tools such as GitHub, JIRA, and/or Confluence to record project information for knowledge management. You will work closely with SMEs and technical experts at all levels to layout program roadmaps, develop user stories, and tasks. Regular updates, metrics, and results will be presented to a larger team of leadership and clients. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or similar fields, along with 2-5 years of experience with IT projects, preferably as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach. You will prepare for and lead daily scrum meetings, biweekly sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, backlog grooming meetings, and planning poker sessions for multiple technical teams. Extensive experience applying Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies to projects of varying sizes is essential. You will facilitate and prepare for external end-of-sprint demonstrations, create and maintain a backlog of features, epics, stories, and tasks in JIRA, and provide input to release planning using team capacity and skill set information. Additionally, you will compile, analyze, and present statistics about time estimation accuracy, team velocity, and burndown rate to manage each sprint effectively. Meeting with product owners and operational business managers to introduce scrum and program processes and outline expectations is also part of your responsibilities. You will identify common issues across teams, such as communication and UI consistency, and lead the implementation of new solutions. Communication of team progress and dependencies with other team leads during scrum of scrums is crucial, as is interfacing with business, test, and user support teams to receive requirements information and forward updates on feature progress. You will review and provide feedback on drafted user stories and epics to ensure alignment with general Agile user story standards, and create general Agile graphics and PMO with executive briefings.
