About the position

The Cleared Test Engineer will support a large defensive weaponry program at Hill Air Force Base, focusing on the development and evaluation of test plans and designs. This role involves aligning with standard practices, validating test data, and providing oversight to ensure accurate analysis for business decisions. The engineer will be recognized as a subject matter expert in Test Engineering, contributing to the foundation of initial test planning and acquisition documents.

Responsibilities

• Support the Pre-Milestone A program by providing expertise in Test Engineering.
• Review and establish test designs to ensure they provide necessary data for leadership analysis.
• Align test plans with standard practices of AFOTEC and identify test plan milestones.
• Validate data received from tests and review analysis created from this data.
• Provide oversight of tests being performed and ensure compliance with acquisition documents.

Requirements

• 7-12+ years of experience in Test Engineering (OT&E or DT&E).
• Experience designing test plans and milestones for the Test Evaluations Master Plan (TEMP).
• Experience evaluating test data and analyzing results to provide confidence levels.
• Familiarity with Acquisition Documents and/or DAU standard documenting.
• Experience integrating requirements into existing acquisition lifecycle phases, milestones, and deliverables with system engineering principles.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Active Secret Clearance + TS and SAP eligibility.
• Ability to work on-site at Hill AFB daily.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with ICBM or RS/RV systems.
• Experience with AFOTEC or related DoD organizations.
• Active TS or TSSCI Clearance.
• Previous SAP Clearance.
