About the position

The Data Analyst II position is responsible for developing business intelligence reports and dashboards, primarily using Microsoft Power BI. This role requires a strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and the ability to interpret complex database structures. The analyst will work independently to prepare and transform data, ensuring effective communication of insights to business users.

Responsibilities

• Develop business intelligence reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
• Perform data modeling and manage the ETL process.
• Interpret database structures and understand relationships and dependencies.
• Utilize data preparation and transformation tools such as Power Query and Looker.
• Communicate effectively with business users to relay data insights.
• Manage time effectively, multitask, and prioritize work independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data science/analytics, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, or management information systems with two years of data analytics experience; or an associate degree with four years of experience; or a high school diploma with six years of experience.
• Experience developing business intelligence reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI.
• Applied experience in data modeling and the ETL process.
• In-depth knowledge of data preparation and transformation tools (Power Query, Looker, etc.).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.

Nice-to-haves

• Power BI certification.
• Experience with MRP and/or ERP systems (Deltek, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
• Manufacturing and/or aviation experience.
