About the position

Vulcraft-Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for a Clerical/Data Entry Clerk position in our Vulcraft Sales Office located in Overland Park, KS. This position will provide essential administrative support to the office in a variety of functions that are critical to the sales process. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing incoming bid requests from customers, ensuring that all responses are timely and accurate. This role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, as the clerk will also maintain and organize the bid calendar to track deadlines and ensure that all bids are submitted on time. In addition to managing bid requests, the Clerical/Data Entry Clerk will coordinate out-of-territory quotes by working closely with outside offices. This involves processing and booking purchase orders received from customers efficiently, ensuring that all customer quotes are sent out promptly on bid day. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as the clerk will be responsible for answering customer phone calls and addressing inquiries to resolve any issues that may arise. This position is vital to the smooth operation of the sales office and requires a proactive approach to administrative tasks and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming bid requests from customers via phone call and email, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Maintain and organize the bid calendar to track deadlines and ensure all bids are submitted on time.
  • Coordinate and manage quotes for out-of-territory requests with outside offices.
  • Process and book purchase orders received from customers efficiently.
  • Ensure all customer quotes are sent out promptly on bid day.
  • Answer customer phone calls and provide excellent customer service to address inquiries and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Experience using Microsoft Office.

Benefits

  • Starting Pay: $18.96/hr + Monthly Bonus
