  • Assist in coordinating department operations.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance in databases.
  • Answer department telephone inquiries and greet visitors.
  • Prepare agendas and supporting materials, and transcribe minutes.
  • Serve as cashier, handling utility payments and posting to accounts.
  • Prepare and monitor purchasing records and documents.
  • Generate purchase orders and process purchasing documents.
  • Reconcile purchase cards and petty cash.
  • Prepare bank deposits and assist with employee timesheets.
  • Order office supplies and coordinate copier maintenance.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail for the work group.
  • Represent the City of Albany in a professional manner.
  • Promote a safe work environment and comply with safety regulations.
