About the position

The Office Clerk at Atkore will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the Houston facility operations. This role is crucial for managing various site programs, coordinating schedules, and ensuring smooth communication within the facility. The Office Clerk will serve as the primary contact for visitors and customers, and will assist in various administrative tasks to support the overall operations of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage various site programs including service contracts, invoicing, and day-to-day coordination.
  • Serve as the primary contact to coordinate with on-premises Security services.
  • Provide primary administrative support for the site, partnering with management staff to coordinate schedules, site visits, event coordination, and site communications.
  • Oversee office/facility upgrades and partner with various departments to support operations or facility needs as requested.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for customers and guests by answering phones or greeting individuals visiting the facility.
  • Prepare internal communications or presentations for the facility including various meetings, roundtables, townhalls, etc.
  • Partner with Human Resources to provide administrative support including electronic file management, employee onboarding, and employee engagement activities.
  • Assist with scheduling and communicating with candidates for employment.
  • Assist with internal/external office courier, shipping, or mail services.
  • Assist Shipping department with administrative duties.
  • Prepare reports, matrices, presentations, and communications as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience supporting site operations in an Administrative Support role required.
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • JDE experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to perform at a high level in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, plan workload, and establish priorities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of the organization.
