About the position

The window associate position at Kane Logistics is a critical role within the operations office, situated in a fast-paced environment. This position is essential to the success of the operation as it involves close interaction with customers and on-site management to effectively manage shipping and receiving processes, as well as billing and invoicing tasks. The role demands strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task efficiently and in a timely manner, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and customer satisfaction is maintained. In this role, the window associate will be responsible for providing customer service assistance, managing incoming calls, and addressing customer inquiries. The associate will also be tasked with comparing identifying information and counting, weighing, or measuring items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify that the information aligns with bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Setting daily delivery appointments, processing incoming deliveries, and managing completed loads are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the associate will resolve any issues related to shipping and/or receiving in collaboration with internal staff, file paperwork daily, and adhere to corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices, reporting any noncompliance observed. Safety is a priority, and the associate will be expected to observe all company safety rules and assist in their enforcement as appropriate. This position may also include other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the operations office.

Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service assistance to customers and manages incoming calls.
  • Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Sets daily delivery appointments.
  • Processes incoming deliveries.
  • Processes completed loads.
  • Resolves any issues with shipping and/or receiving with internal staff.
  • Files paperwork daily.
  • Follows corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and reports noncompliance when observed.
  • Observes all company safety rules and assists in enforcement as appropriate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • 3 months verifiable customer service experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task.
