About the position

The Account Manager at Clean Harbors is responsible for growing and maintaining accounts within the specified territory of Maine. This role emphasizes health and safety as a top priority while implementing sales strategies, supporting customer communications, and achieving revenue goals. The position requires proactive engagement with clients and collaboration with various teams to ensure service excellence and business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Implement Sales Plan and obtain signed standard service agreements for new corporate account business.
  • Promote communication and coordination between sales, operations, customer service, and customers.
  • Develop and maintain corporate level communication with corporate accounts.
  • Obtain a minimum yearly goal in new business accounts and meet quarterly and annual revenue objectives.
  • Identify corporate account locations company-wide and direct appropriate sales and service personnel to those locations as needed.
  • Maintain daily awareness of sales activities and results.
  • Demonstrate ability to negotiate pricing and contract requirements during customer sales calls.
  • Participate in joint sales calls with local account owners to promote business and provide coaching and feedback to account managers.
  • Complete annual sales revenues budget and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business or Sciences.
  • 5+ years of industry or relevant experience, with environmental experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills.
  • Proactive approach to help grow the business.
