About the position

The Account Manager at Clean Harbors is responsible for growing new accounts and maintaining existing ones within a specified book of business, primarily covering the territory of Maine. This role emphasizes health and safety, customer sales support, and achieving sales goals while fostering positive relationships with corporate accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Implementing Sales Plan and obtaining signed standard service agreements for new corporate account business.
  • Promoting communication and coordination between sales, operations, customer service, and customers.
  • Developing and maintaining corporate level communication with corporate accounts.
  • Achieving a minimum yearly goal in new business accounts and meeting quarterly and annual revenue objectives.
  • Identifying corporate account locations company-wide and directing appropriate sales and service personnel to those locations as needed.
  • Maintaining daily awareness of sales activities and results.
  • Demonstrating ability to negotiate pricing and contract requirements during customer sales calls.
  • Participating in joint sales calls with local account owners to promote business and provide coaching and feedback to account managers.
  • Completing annual sales revenues budget and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business or Sciences.
  • 5+ years of industry or relevant experience; environmental experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills.
  • Proactive attitude to help grow the business.
